In the Fitmix system the feed comes directly though the mash nozzle into the pigs mouth. There is no need for a trough.
FITMIX makes feeding more economic:
  • feed losses are considerably reduced and feed hygiene in improved
  • the mash to paste consistency of the feed is smooth and easy to digest
  • no dust affects the sows and their carers.
  • the absence of the trough is space saving
  • the metering speed of the nozzle is adjusted to suit the feeding behaviour and prevents overeating.
FITMIX can be ideally used to be fit in old buildings with consistent groups. The size of the groups can be adjusted to the system. For the first days FITMIX has got a learning aide, which makes sure that the animals can drink of the nozzle.

Mash nozzle
The pig is identified by the aerial. If the animal has got a feed claim the conveying screw carries feed. The feed consistency is regulated by the water supply. Manual opperating is possible with the MILAN-handheld. Medicaments can be allocated exactly for each animal by the volume dispenser.
